
It's not just the 310 plus stores that have made Homebase a successful household name! Since its birth in October 2003 Homebase Direct has played a huge part in the growth of Homebase and contributes significantly to the company's performance.
The sheer scale of the operation is illustrated by the delivery of half a million orders to customer’s homes in the last financial year, an increase of over 30% on last year. We make deliveries Monday to Saturday, delivering kitchens, bathrooms, furniture, fireside, conservatories, garden buildings, flooring and tiling and an ever increasing number of categories as our offer on the Homebase Internet increases.
As you can imagine the support teams behind this success story are crucial to delivering a service that we can be proud of and our customers can rely on. Homebase Direct now operates from 4 Home Retail Group warehouses and 35 vendor Direct suppliers and our Contact Centre in Widnes, Cheshire with upwards of 125 advisors; man the phone Monday – Friday 08.00-20.00, Saturday 09.00-17.00 and Sunday 10.00-16.00. Each shift has its own experienced Team Leaders to ensure that everything runs smoothly. The teams are supported by the Home Retail Group Customer Services who provide recruitment and training support, manpower planning and Human Resources.

Putting our customers needs first
Homebase has always been about offering choice, value and convenience to our customers.
Our Delivery Choice proposition is being rolled out during the course of this year and on kitchens and bathrooms allows customers to choose from standard (4 weeks), express (2 weeks), or free storage for their order for up to six months.
Also by the end of the year, all stores will be able to offer an installation service on kitchens and we’re trialling installations on bathrooms and conservatories.
On furniture we offer 14 and 28 day lead-times and 25% of our deliveries are actually made within 7 days!
